I’m not going to lie, when I found out I was having a boy, I immediately got sad at the fact that we weren’t going to be able to be twins. Being into fashion, I always knew I wanted a little mini me, but having a little boy could make that a little bit hard. Little did I know, fast forward to 16 months later and I have a mini me!
When he was an infant it was hard to match. He was mostly in onesie pajamas and I felt like he had an outfit change 5-6 times a day. I mean I guess I could have matched the color of his onesie to the color of my shirt, but I really didn’t think about it at the time.
Now here we are walking, running, and exploring the world. He is so curious about everything and it is bittersweet watching him grow. But now that he is older it has also been super fun dressing bubba. Y’all I have found so many pieces that match, our matching looks are perfect for the mamas that want to twin with their little boy like myself.
Look 1: Camo print is one of those prints that boys can wear so this is a perfect print for matching. I’ve had this camo jacket in my closet and I have been on the hunt for a similar jacket for bubba and found one at Old Navy! You can use this top for so many looks. Here is how we styled it: Black jeans and a simple onesie for bubba and white tee for my look.
Look 2: Chambray is also unisex. It’s like a light jean fabric and a staple in our closet. I found this one with arrows at Old Navy and I thought was perfect for a little boy. This is how we styled our chambray tops: Rolling Stones graphic tee and black jeans.
Look 3: Bodysuit and Joggers. The most comfortable look ever and he seriously makes this outfit so cute. Joggers are one of those pieces that you can dress down or dress up and a good basic to have in your closet. Casually styled below.
I have been having so much fun shopping for pieces that match bubba. The graphic tees in the men’s section is a good place to start in my opinion because typically you can find a similar one in the boy’s section if not the same one. I also like to shop for basics because then we can mix and match these pieces as well as wear them all year round. Basics such as joggers, onesies/bodysuits, solid color shirts and shorts. Another item that you can find to match are shoes and Vans have the best ones! So if you are having a hard time to finding pieces to match your toddler boy, I suggest shopping for graphic tees, prints that are unisex like camo, chambray tops, shoes, and solid color pieces.
Becoming a mama meant I was going to have a little mini me and the more I watched Mason grow, the more I realize that he is me. His ability to love and be kind, his silliness, strong will, and even when he is stubborn, I see myself so much in him. Now that I can twin with him just makes it a little more special. Hope y’all loved our matching looks and please share if you have other matching looks that y’all love. Would love to see them and see y’all rock our looks!
